The Peace Road Project was first initiated by the founders of Universal Peace Federation, Dr and Mrs Sun Myung Moon as an international high way project in 1981 with the vision of connecting the world with one “peace road” beginning from the Cape of Good Hope in South Africa to Chile in South America. Now the Peace Road is held as an event to spread the message of peace in more than 120 countries across the world.
In Malaysia, the Peace Road event which carries the theme of “One Nation, One Heart”, is a collaborative project mainly between WFWP Malaysia and Universal Peace Federation (UPF) Malaysia to celebrate the rich diversity in our multicultural society of Malaysia. This healthy and peaceful event, held annually from 2015 to 2018, provides an opportunity for the people to set aside our differences and come together in the spirit of muhibbah or togetherness, to promote trust and the belief that the future generation will be able to continue to uphold this important legacy and enjoy living in peace and harmony.

Gathering large, peaceful crowds from 2,000 to 5,000 participants, the Peace Road highlights fun, healthy and family friendly non-competitive event catering to amateur cyclists, healthy runners and happy walkers who have the heart to support a noble cause of promoting a caring society. The Malaysian event also doubles as a fund-raiser that will support leadership, character education activities and charitable causes.
