Health Talk In Conjunction With World Vegetarian Day

In conjunction with World Vegetarian Day, WFWP Malaysia organised a talk on “Healthy Living: Beyond Vegetarianism” at the Peace Embassy on 5 October 2019. More than 60 participants attended and benefited from this event.

The speaker, Professor Dr. Umah Rani Kuppusamy, also Vice President of WFWP Malaysia, shared useful facts and information on the benefits of vegetarian diet and other practical tips on balanced nutrition and healthy living.

Participants also enjoyed watching a live-cooking demonstration of several vegetarian dishes including , tomato chutney, eggless omelette and sushi, prepared by our experienced chefs – Datin S. Shobana, Prof. Dr. Umah and Mdm. Tsuji Masami respectively. Not only are these dishes simple and easy to prepare, they are also delicious and nutritious.

The programme ended with a savory vegetarian potluck. Sincere appreciation to NEU Vegetarian Restaurant and Organic Express, Petaling Jaya for the contribution of vegetarian dishes for the day.
