Due to the recent COVID-19 crisis and economic downturn, many have lost their jobs and are struggling every day to make a living in this challenging time. As part of our Women’s Empowerment Initiative, WFWP Malaysia has engaged 10 single mothers and underprivileged women in a hands-on Baking & Cooking Workshop at the Malaysia Peace Embassy on 8 and 22 August 2020.
Funded by WFWP International, this two-day programme aims to empower women to stand on their own feet by equipping them with basic baking skills and social media marketing techniques. This gives the women more effective participation and equal opportunities required to start a gainful business.
