The recent spike in Covid-19 cases in the country did not stop WFWP Malaysia from launching the “Give Me a Chance” Education Assistance Fund 2021 on 18 October 2020. The event, originally scheduled to be held physically at the Peace Embassy in Petaling Jaya, Selangor had gone virtual on Zoom due to the recent CMCO implemented by the government to flatten the curve of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Jointly organised by WFWP Malaysia, Universal Peace Federation Malaysia and Ajar-ajar Malaysia, this initiative aims to provide financial assistance to less fortunate students who wish to pursue a tertiary education. We believe education is the catalyst of change and everyone deserves to be given a chance to receive an education.

This programme which was funded by WFWP International saw more than 50 participants including students, teachers and parents participating in the one-hour virtual launch. In conjunction with the launch, book vouchers were given to 32 underprivileged students as part of the Adolescent Girls Empowerment Initiative.
We are very pleased to announce that the “Give Me a Chance” Education Assistance Fund 2021 is now open for application. Please see the presentation slides below for more information. Application closes on 31 December 2020. If you missed the official launch, you’re welcome to watch the recorded video on Zoom at the bottom of the page.
