Covid-19 Humanitarian Assistance

As Malaysia enters the third wave of Covid-19 pandemic, people are once again experiencing the impacts of an economic slowdown. This has left many families especially those from lower income groups to survive with meagre resources Welfare centers run by non-governmental organisations (NGOs) are also left struggling even to maintain daily operations.

On 30 October 2020, WFWP Malaysia extended humanitarian assistance to the Persatuan Kebajikan Siva Sakthi Samaj in Setapak, Kuala Lumpur. The center currently provides permanent shelter for 15 school-going children and also serves free vegetarian lunch to 25 low-income families in the nearby area on a daily basis.

We also paid a visit to an underprivileged family staying in a lost-cost apartment in Bandar Kundang, Rawang and handed over groceries and food items to the family of eight. We hope the little acts of kindness will be an encouragement and motivation to those in need.

We thank WFWP International and all donors for the contribution of items for the less fortunate especially at this difficult time.
