On 14 May, WFWP Malaysia celebrated the Raya Festive Season with the children of Rumah Kasih Nurul Hasanah (RKNH) in Ampang, Kuala Lumpur. Food and essential items were handed over to the home during the visit.
The founder of RKNH, Puan Raabah, or better known as Puan Umi, welcomed the members of WFWP warmly. She explained the purpose of the home, which not only provides shelter for 25 children from broken families but also acts as a charity center to provide food and necessities for hard core poor families who come knocking on their door.
Deputy President of WFWP, Datin Mimi Maria, thanked RKNH for giving WFWP the opportunity to visit and celebrate Raya with the children and provide assistance with whatever resources available.
The children had a really fun and exciting time playing games and action songs led by Puan Azra’s family and our WFWP members. They also enjoyed a thrilling martial arts showdown by Tong Il Moo Do Malaysia masters, Ms Annie and Mr Marvin followed by a simple self-defense exercise.
In her closing remarks, President of WFWP, Mdm Lina Cheng thanked all sponsors, volunteers for the generous support in making this event a success and bringing cheers and love to the children. The celebration concluded with gifts and duit raya for all children and a delicious lunch.
