Today WFWP teamed up with Pertubuhan Pembangunan dan Pendidikan Masyarakat (PPPM) Daerah Kuala Langat in organizing the “Lift Me Up” Education Assistance Fund and Used Laptop Giveaway in Banting, Selangor.
Ten selected STPM and college students from B40 families received refurbished laptops and assistance funds from WFWP President Mdm Lina Cheng, accompanied by PPPM President Dato’ Gopinaathan Arunachalam and his wife.
The girls were near tears upon receiving the much needed laptop for their studies. Still many students in Malaysia, even in the most developed state of Selangor, could not afford to own a laptop to pursue a tertiary education. They have been struggling to cope with presentations and assignments using mobile phones.
